The premiere golfing event on our calendar
Saturday & Sunday on the last weekend of every August
The Friday prior to the Open is our annual 9 hole Prawn Run 12 noon tee off.

The 2022 Cooktown Open has been cancelled due to a multitude of on & off course issues that are beyond our immediate control. The 2023 Open dates will be posted soon.
RACE TO THE BAY
Cooktown’s version of the Race to Dubai
Our year long points based competition played in conjunction with the Saturday Competition.
Great prizes on offer.
JOHN MOLTON DAY / COOKTOWN CUP
Held early August, this yearly event hosts the course owner (John “Rambo” Moulton) and his hand picked team from business houses in and around Port Douglas, in a Ryder Cup style Matchplay event.
This is a private event, by invitation only.
MONTHLY MEDAL & ECLECTIC EVENTS
Our Monthly Medal is held on or around the 2nd Saturday of every month, this is played in conjunction with our MM Gross & Nett Eclectic Championship.
Competition Times
Saturday is the main competition day, 10am tee off.
Sunday is social golf day & a great way to get to know the course.
Friday is Tradies day (tee off times to be advised)
Extra competitions will be held as demand dictates.
Club House opens at 7:30am and closes at 5:30pm
Earlier tee times can be made by prior arrangement with the Club.
$6.00 competition fee payable for the Saturday comp.
